Gold coins of the 19th century in great demand

In the course of the last months the market shows a high demand of older gold coins, which circulated as means of payment from the beginning of the 19th century until about the middle of the 20th century. Particularly sought after are the mintages of the Latin Monetary Union (LMU), which included besides Switzerland (e.g. 20 Francs Helvetia and Goldvreneli), also France, Italy and Belgium, and later Greece, as well as other gold coins such as the British Sovereign or the 20 Mark of the German Empire.
