Austrian Ducats dated 1915 are official restrikes of the gold ducats minted in Austria for centuries. They were circulating coins until 1857, trade coins (not legal tender) from 1858, and pure bullion coins from 1915.

The coin is very popular and is often bought as a baby or wedding present.

The obverse shows the portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I, while the reverse shows the imperial and royal double-headed eagle, the heraldic bird of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
